In a huge milestone, after 18 months at The O’Connell House, our first graduate has moved on to a transitional program in a new state, beginning the next chapter of her life! We recently received an update that she has been doing amazingly well, building positive relationships with new friends and staff members, and will soon start part-time work.
We even got a message from “Grad” to The O’Connell House team: “You have helped me realize that the focus is on me. This journey was never about him, it was always about me and for me. I am finally facing the trauma after so long and choosing to remember the best parts of the relationship. I am choosing to walk away from that bad experience with love. Thank you, love “Grad”
We wish her the best and brightest future imaginable. She is, and always will be, a cherished part of our story. We know she will go on to do amazing things, and we are so incredibly proud to have been a part of her journey. Congratulations!!!
